ON-THE-JOB TRAINING PROGRAM (OJT)
According to the latest surveys, the average cost of training a new employee can amount to a $22,000 loss in productivity and supervisory time. On-the-job training has been proven to be one of the most successful means of training new employees in the skills and performance levels required.
PA CareerLink Lehigh Valley’s On-the-Job Training Program (OJT) can help in defraying those expensive costs. For new, full-time, eligible employees, your company may be reimbursed up to 50% of their wages during an initial training period. The Customized Job Training Program (CJT), funded through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development, can customize training for different areas of your business by tailoring training to fit your company’s objectives. CJT can be used to assist you in training new employees as well as incumbent employees to upgrade their skills in new technologies.
