Every job seeker needs a resume. It is the first thing that most employers ask for and it can be an excellent tool for presenting the kinds of information that will make you attractive to an employer.

It is critical to remember, however, that the primary purpose of the resume is not necessarily to get the job — it is to get the interview. The resume is often the first piece of information that the employer has on you and will use your resume to determine whether or not to bring you in for an interview. This means that your resume should allow you to put your "best foot forward," selling your most important skills and reflecting your approach to employment.
